Welcome! This is a gaming blog on Random Generators and Random Tables in RPGs, mostly written by me, Duncan T.
It started in May 2018, mainly with random tables and interviews. There have been many other articles, with the generator guides (mostly by genre) and then later the pdf/books of random guides. It is also complemented by my rpg generators site at Chaos Gen and occasional Generators Challenge we run.
In more recent times there has been lots more on solo rpgs, where random tools are used extensively. And after the strangeness of Wizards and the OGL in Jan 2023, I've been looking at and playing lots of British RPGs, including a series of solo articles using them in rolling solo. And focusing on publishing system-neutral tables and pdfs (on drivethrurpg and itch.io)
Come say hello in the Rand Roll Discord or if you're a reddit user check out r/rpg_generators.
There's also a monthly newsletter with a few links to generators and random articles (including updates from Rand Roll and Chaos Gen)
Happy Gaming!
